The Kosovel Educational Trail runs along the route on which poet Srečko Kosovel used to walk home from Sežana to Tomaj. This more than 7km long picturesque route leading through the karst landscape takes about two and a half hours of moderate walking. It begins in Sežana at the birthplace of Srečko Kosovel (Adult Education Centre), then passes the Polaj tower, the Library of Srečko Kosovel, the Church of St. Martin, a military cemetery and continues towards the foothills of Tabor and straight into a karst meadow. It ends in the vineyards of Tomaj or concludes after a visit to the home of Kosovel in Tomaj. The Kosovel Educational Trail is an easy tour suitable for family outings.
